With so many of our state roads and bridges in a dire state of disrepair, we must take action to ensure that Pennsylvania's infrastructure is safe and well-maintained. Waiting will only increase the problems we face and lead to significantly greater long-term costs.

We must impose a severance tax on energy companies for drilling in the Marcellus Shale.

We must explore Public-Private Partnerships that have been successful in other states.

We must take advantage of all available federal resources.

By tackling our infrastructure needs now, we can create up to 50,000 new jobs and put Pennsylvanians back to work.
